Our work is based on extensive research, from the results of which we develop our pieces. We develop movement and action sequences, acquire the appropriate vocabulary and explore interaction options with the audience. The plot results from the pointed collage of facts that are presented in a haunting, often humorous way.

chi-mashie addresses different places and situations and creates, mostly interacting with the audience, enigmatic ritual-like moods that reveal a tendency towards the absurd.

Based on the nature of postdramatic theater, we focus on text and drama as well as on aspects of conceptual art and the use of new media in our work.

We also work with the visual design of a stage set and the use of props and costumes.
